There are many ways to improve a home on a Budget, and I have selected a few of my favorites to accomplish this goal.   

 

Landscaping –  

This is one of the many great ways to improve your home’s appearance.  You can update the front and backyard of your home.  Trim your trees and bushes and clear all the weeds to give your home a clean look.  

 

Plant Trees/Flowers - 

Planting a tree and or flowers in the front yard of your home it’ll enhance the curb appeal that many Buyers seek in selecting their new home.  If planted in the backyard, it will add that additional charm and improve the home while not breaking the bank.  There is no substitute for natural shade.  Not only does it cool you off in the hot summers, but it also looks great!  Let’s all start by planting something new!  

 

Paint the front door & add new hardware - 

Painting your front door is an excellent option.  Although a minor detail we procrastinate on many times, this is a great way to enhance the home's appearance and is very conservative.  Give your front door a new look this year, and try a different color!  If you want to go the extra mile, in addition to painting the door, you can also try changing the hardware for a new, fresh look. 

 

Paint the exterior trim on a home – 

The Desert sun can be brutal.  Making sure that the fascia (exterior trim) on your home stays painted will not only enhance the home’s appearance but also keep it well maintained so that you don’t attract other costly repairs later.  Your local home improvement stores have great pricing on exterior paints and advice.  

 

Paint the garage –  

This will help enhance the home's overall look and maintainability and be easy to do.  Visit your local home improvement store for advice on colors, paints, and more.
